A very warm, sunny but fairly windy day, greeted the 30 players for the first Monday golf day of the new season. As the course is now becoming quite busy, the Classic was played first followed by the front 9 of the Masters and even though the greens are still a little slow there were some pretty good scores returned with 10 people returning 30 or more points. Best of the day being Lee Goulder and Jim C 35 points (Jim had better back 9), Albert Taylor 36 points and Michelle O'Keefe 37 points and handicap cut.
Following golf, drinks and tapas were enjoyed at Algarbe, after which the prize presentation took place. Once again, as last year and being the first competition of the new season prizes were sponsored by LARRY ROWE, thank you Larry.
Nearest the pin was awarded to Hans Ooft for a shot to 6m 60cm. For the main competition and following the surprise draw Lee was joined by Hans for fourth prize, Albert and Keith Cantrell received third prize, second prize was awarded to Jim and Rudolf Galliart and first prize went to Michelle and Frank Lynch.
Next week first tee time is 11.20 on Classic followed by front 9 Masters at 13.38.
