A cloudy but a very warm day greeted the 40 golfers to play twice around the Classic. With the course now getting towards it's best condition, scores are certainly improving with 18 players scoring 30 or more points.

Best of the day however were 36 points returned by 4 players who in order of best back 9 were Albert Taylor (5th), Jim Connelly (4th), Jan Wonnevi (3rd) and Lennart Olsson (2nd).

I n first place with a great score of 41 points, Thomas Bengtsson, who will no doubt receive a handicap cut!!!

Following golf ,and after excellent tapas and drinks, the presentation of prizes took place in Algarbe.

Nearest pin was awarded to Kristina Olsson for a great shot to 2m 79cm.

The usual surprise draw took place which saw Albert partnered by Inger Strand Sjostrom for 5th prize, Jim Connelly and Anne Rosenvingse received 4th prize, with 3rd prize going to Jan and Rosemary Moody. 2nd prize was received by Lennart and Judy McQuillen and deservedly 1st prize was awarded to Thomas and Barbera Goulder.

Next week first tee time is 11.28 on Classic followed by first 9 of Masters
