Well it had to happen eventually, it was NOT a good golfing day. Heavy rain early persuaded some of the competitors that they should not play, consequently the numbers were reduced from 37 to a hardy core of 20.

Fortunately, for most part the rain ceased and a full 18 holes was completed on the Classic course and in the circumstances some excellent scores were returned. 10 players scoring 30 or more points, with the best of the day coming from John Flynn 36 points, Baz Prior 38 points, Jörgen Alm 42 points and a fantastic 47 points from Lee Goulder.

Following golf, most enjoyable tapas and drinks were served in Algarbe.

In the circumstances it was decided not to have the "normal Monday competition", instead a full blind pairs was drawn for prizes. 4th place went to Michelle O'Keefe and Kjell Adolfsson 3rd were Jörgen and Dot Prior, 2nd Lee and Barbera Goulder and in 1st place were Baz and Harry Willieboordse.

Next week first tee time is 10.48 on Classic followed by front 9 of Masters at 12.50
