Monday 20 March 2017

It was a nice day, a little cloudy and some sun for the 33 players competing in an away day at Alborán.

Scores reflected the mild conditions with 19 of the competitors scoring 30 points or more.

Best of the day and in the prizes were Sissy Joos and Judy McQuillan 36 points, Dan Grönskog and Steve Bradbury 37 points and Rosemary Moody with a superb 38 points

Following golf everyone had drinks and tapas in the chiringuito. A final tribute was delivered in remembrance of Albert and recognising his contribution in forming Monday golf and the continuing support both he and Nina had given.

A surprise draw took place which paired Bill Egan with Judy for fifth prize, Jim Shaw joined Sissy for fourth prize, third prize was awarded to Dan who was joined by his wife Anita. Rosemary and Jan Söderström claimed second prize with first prize being awarded to Steve and Marianne Liljedahl

Next week first tee time is 11.28 on Masters 3, followed by Masters 1
