We played a semi Texas Scramble with each golfer playing their own ball to completion once the drive had been selected. I opted for all scores to count as I, personally, don’t like to use the old “FGS” system of a “Doris”. Should we have been playing all four balls it would have been possible to go for the best 2 or 3 scores only. The result was arrived at by adding all the players stableford scores together and dividing by the number of players in each team to get an average score, e.g. Team 1 has 3 players with points of 33, 30 and 27 totals 90 /3 = 30 . Team 2 has four players with scores of 36, 30 27 and 23 = 116 / 4 = 29 therefore Team 1 wins. The winners were a team of 4 - Dan, Anita, Kjell and Maria H, second a team of 3 - Rudolph, Rolf and Rosemary and third had 4 players - Paul M, Frank, Agneta and Michelle. The team that came third had the same average score as one other team but won on having the lower average handicap. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks for playing.
