Los Amigos played their annual Christmas competition on Thursday 3rd December playing a Texas Scramble using only 3 clubs and putter. Things were very different this year using face masks and social distancing due to the Covid 19 pandemic, but lots of use came dressed in Christmas outfits to make the day fun. We managed to have a very enjoyable round of golf followed by a delicious lunch in the clubhouse. The day started with a lot of cloud but eventually the sun broke through and we had fantastic weather again. After 9 holes each team were welcomed by Debbie to enjoy some refreshments and snacks at the halfway bar. Then we were on our way again to play the back 9.
A big thank you to Juan Parron, Ingrid and Richard for their sponsorships which meant that more golfers received prizes than usual. All the par 3s had nearest the pin, straightest drive and best Christmas dress for both ladies and men.
Nearest the pins were won by Richard, Ingrid Ö, Gunnel, John Wil, Yvonne R, Thomas B and Ben.
Straightest drives on the 18th hole were won by Dan and Joan.
Prizes for the best Christmas outfits were won by Ben and Ingrid Ö.
The international Christmas table quiz which took place during lunch was won by Marion, Derek H, Ben, Donal and Geraldine.
There is no organised Los Amigos competition this Saturday, 5th December but usual weekend competitions will resume on Saturday 12th.
